Sharni Vinson is an American-born Australian actress, dancer, born on 22 July 1983 in Sydney Australia. In 201, she made her acting debut on an Australian soap opera titled Home and Away. She was in a minor role for only two episodes. In that small role the acting of her was excellent that the casting director wanted to have her play each of the roles. She however did attempt to audition but was not selected instead on the same show, she was cast in the character of Cassie Turner, who is an unruly teenager placed in foster care.
