Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is a Mexican American performer, singer and actress. Sara Ramirez was raised by her American mother and faced a lot racial taunts and made her feel unwelcome. After she participated in an event at school and was given the highest praise for her singing when she was in the ninth grade the young girl started to gain confidence. This not only increased the confidence of her, but altered the direction of her professional career. When she was 22, she was able to graduate from at the Julliard School of New York. She started her professional journey at age 23 with Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and You've Got Mail in film. The character in The Lady of The Lake became her biggest breakthrough, bringing herself the Tony Award in addition to the acclaim of critics for her role. Her fame grew by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. Also, she is a well-known performer and has released an extended play. In addition, she has been an advocate for LGBT issues.
