Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American actress, model, writer and activist for animal rights. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most famous movies. Born and raised in a family of artists living in New York she wished to be a part of the arts. Her first job was as an assistant to photographers. Then she moved on to modelling and acting. The first two films she appeared in, she was recognized as a winner of an award called the Golden Globe Award as Most Popular Young Actress. MacGraw was a household name after the 1970 hit film Love Story. She was considered for nomination to one of the Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. MacGraw was deemed the top female box-office actress in the world after only three releases. In 1972, the Grauman's Chinese Theater signed her name as well as foot prints, hand prints, and footprints in the year 1972. In addition, she was a part of The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, along with other films. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography of hers, was published. MacGraw has been married three occasions.
